Interior Design and furnishings are some of my favorite things. I enjoy anything from antique shopping to browsing the fabulous creations at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. Designed by world-renowned Argentinian architect Cesar Pelli, this 1.2 million-square-foot facility is home to more than one hundred of the best domestic and international luxury home furnishing showrooms like Holly Hunt and Thomas Lavin. It is quite the trek to navigate through the multi-level design center but fortunately, PDC offers a complementary interior designer referral program to help point you in the right direction. It’s also just a great place to browse and get lost for hours.
The Pacific Design Center originally opened in 1975 with only the primary Center Blue in existence, making up 750,000 square feet. In 1998, Center Green was opened adding another 450,000 square feet. And finally Center Red opened last year adding yet another 400,000 square feet. It also houses a branch of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), occupying over 3,000 square feet of exhibit space.
