Final Weekend of Women’s Art!

If you have not been to the Leslie Sack’s Fine Art Museum in Brentwood to see the benefit exhibition for women artists, Women’s Art Now, I highly recommend you visit before it’s over!  The exhibit is on its last weekend and closes this Monday, February 25th.  The exhibit features the work of Helen Frankenthaler — one of the top 4 female artists who have broken the $1 million dollar price point for her work, Beverly Pepper — the first person to work with Corten steel in this medium, Pat Steir — the first woman to have a show at the National Gallery in 1973, and Nancy Graves who had her first solo exhibition at the Whitney Museum in New York.

If you cannot make it this weekend, watch the fabulous keynote speeches by Judy L. Larson, former director of, National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington D.C., and Heidi Basch-Harod, executive director, Women’s Voices Now.
